Group Gift is a concept owned and operated by Potje Technologie B.V. This platform allows users to organise collective gift purchases, making it easy for groups of people to contribute towards a shared gift.

2. Personal Data We Process

• First and last name
• Email address
• Profile photo (optional)
• Bank account number for recipients
• Browser, IP address, and device type
• Platform activity data (where cookies are enabled)
• Source and analytics data (for example via Google Analytics and Firebase)
• Gift details, contribution amounts, and payment references
• Other data actively provided by users in accounts or correspondence

3. Purposes and Legal Basis

We process personal data for service delivery and platform operation, including payment processing, account management, service communication, and analytics.

Legal bases include performance of a contract, consent, and legitimate interest depending on the processing purpose.

4. Links to Third-Party Websites

Group Gift may include links to third-party websites and services. This Privacy Statement does not apply to data processing by those third parties. Potje Technologie B.V. is not liable for those third-party services and websites.

5. Transfer of Business

Potje Technologie B.V. may transfer its business or the Group Gift service to a third party. In that case, personal data may also be transferred. Users will be informed in advance.

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss and unlawful processing, including SSL/TLS transport security and restricted access to authorised personnel.

7. Access, Rectification and Deletion

You can view and update account details in your account. You can request an overview of your personal data by emailing support@getgroupgift.com.

If you delete your account, personal data is deleted except where retention is required for settled payment records, legal obligations, or to finalise service operations.

8. Retention Periods

Personal data is retained no longer than necessary for its purpose. Where legal obligations apply, data is retained for the legally required period, typically 7 years for Dutch financial administration.

9. Sharing Personal Data with Third Parties

We share personal data with third parties where necessary for service delivery or legal obligations and apply data processing agreements where required.

Current processors include Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Firebase, and Online Payment Platform.

10. Minors

Users under 16 require parental or legal guardian consent. By creating an account, users confirm they are at least 16 or have required consent.
