Yes. Group Gift works with regulated financial institutions. The collected funds are held in segregated accounts by Online Payment Platform (OPP), a licensed payment institution.

No. Contributors just click the link, choose an amount, and pay with their preferred method. No app, no account, no signup. Only the organiser sets up a free account to create and manage the gift page.

Yes, a Group Gift can collect up to €3,500 in total. That's enough for the vast majority of group gifts, including bigger occasions like weddings, milestone birthdays, or a generous farewell. If you're planning something larger, get in touch and we'll see what's possible.

The organiser decides. You can close the collection whenever you're ready: the day before the birthday, right after the wedding, or whenever the moment calls for it. The maximum a collection can stay open is one year. Most groups close theirs within a few weeks of starting.

Yes. Anyone with a European bank account or IBAN can contribute, regardless of where they live in Europe. So family or friends abroad can easily chip in to the same gift. They just click the link and pay with their preferred local method.

Yes. When you contribute, you can choose to hide your amount from other contributors. The organiser will see the total raised, and you can also leave a personal message that's only visible at the moment the gift is revealed.

The link is private. The gift page is only accessible to people the organiser shares it with. It's not listed anywhere, not searchable on Google, and not visible to anyone who doesn't have the link. Share it confidently in the group chat without worrying about strangers stumbling onto it.

The recipient gets the gift digitally, with a nice reveal experience: a personalised page showing the messages, the contributors, and the total raised. From there, they decide themselves when to pay out the funds to their bank account. No pressure, no deadline. They can savour the moment, then transfer the money to their bank whenever it suits them. Payout is via SEPA and typically arrives within one business day.

Yes. You don't have to send the money on to someone else. As the organiser you can pay the pot out straight to your own bank account, perfect when you're the one buying the gift, booking the trip, or fronting the bill.

Nothing bad happens. The target is a goal, not a requirement. Whatever has been collected gets paid out to the recipient. There's no minimum amount, no automatic refund, and no penalty for falling short. Most groups end up close to or over their target, but it's fine either way.
