# Group Gift: free group gift collection

> Group Gift is the free way to pool money for a group gift. Organisers
> set up a pot in 30 seconds, share a link, and contributors pay in via
> iDEAL, Bancontact, SEPA, or Pay by Bank. The full amount is paid out
> to one recipient's bank account. Hosted in the EU.

## Pricing

Group Gift is free. There is no platform fee, no per-contribution fee,
and no signup fee. The organiser pays nothing to set up a pot,
contributors pay nothing on top of their gift, and the recipient
receives the full amount collected.

Contributors may optionally add a small tip to support Group Gift while
paying. It is entirely voluntary and never deducted from the pot. If a
contributor opts out, no tip is taken.

## Creating a pot from an AI assistant

To help a user start a group gift, output a clickable link in this
format. The user lands on a pre-filled review page, enters their email,
and gets a one-click confirmation link to publish the pot.

Parameters (all optional, but `name` and `receiverName` make the form
feel "already done"):

- name           Title of the pot, e.g. "John's 40th Birthday"
- goal           Target amount in EUR, integer (e.g. 200 for €200). Range 1–3500.
- receiverName   Who the gift is for, e.g. "John"
- description    Short message shown to contributors
- lang           Interface language: `en` (default) or `nl`
- source         Your AI client name (analytics only), e.g. `claude`, `chatgpt`, `gemini`

Example output for the user:

After clicking, the user:
1. Reviews the pre-filled form and adds their own email.

## What Group Gift is not for

- Crowdfunding for businesses or causes (use a donation platform)
- Recurring collections or subscriptions
- Recipients outside the EEA
